BTOSports Race Around the Lake
After taking a few years off, everybody’s favorite Southern California GP race is back! The BTO Sports Race Around the Lake is back for 2011! As most people who have heard of this race before are aware, this race takes place in beautiful Lake Castaic, in Castaic California. This is the perfect race for any fun-loving rider ranging from a beginner doing his or her first race, all the way up to a pro. Speaking of pros, this race has been raced by such names as Erik Kehoe, Ryan Hughes, Rodney Smith, Ron Lechien, Jeff Emig, Travis Pastrana, and more! Not to worry though, because this race offers a class for everyone.
There will be classes for beginners, novices, intermediates, experts, pros, quads, kids, side by sides, and even the illustrious team race- where you get to pick a buddy and go out and race a 1 and a half hour GP, trading off the bike lap for lap.
The event is going to run for 3 days, beginning Friday October 28th, and ending Sunday October 30th. There will be camping, food, live music, a lively vendor row, and even a Metal Mulisha freestyle jump show. The jump show will feature Metal Mulisha athletes Jimmy Fitzpatrick, Wes Agee, Derek Garland, and more. You will even have a chance to meet the athletes and get autographs from them.
