The AMA has organized an eBay auction to help cover the expenses of the victorious American team that won the team championship at the Federation Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) Junior Motocross World Championships in Cingoli, Italy, this year.
We've gathered some real finds from industry leaders and top professional racers from the AMA Supercross, motocross and the ArenaCross worlds to make this auction possible. Auctions are being held in October, November and December.
The October auction, which is currently under way, features not only Carmichael's jersey, the Traxxas Slash 4x4 truck donated by Team Green and the VIP AMA Supercross passes donated by Feld Motor Sports, but also autographed jerseys from Justin Brayton, Michael Sleeter and Martin Davalos.
In addition, Pro racer Andrew Short donated the outfit he wore during intermission at the Red Bull AMA Amateur National Motocross Championships presented by Amsoil at Loretta Lynn's Ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tenn. These are the 2012 Fly jersey and pants that he will be wearing next season.
Plus, the Millsaps Training Facility (MTF), a seasonal training facility in Cairo, Ga., for amateur and aspiring pro Supercross and motocross athletes, has donated a week of training at the facility with owner Colleen Millsaps. Colleen has extensive experience in the operation of motocross training facilities and the implementation of structured motocross training programs.
Other items that have been graciously donated and will be up for bid in November and December include jerseys from Travis Pastrana, Ryan Dungey and Davi Millsaps; pants and jerseys from Ryan Villopoto, Chad Johnson and Tyler Bowers; a pair of Asterisk youth Germ knee braces and more.
In accordance with eBay rules and procedures, all items will be auctioned for 10 days, and the highest bidder wins. Don't miss your chance to lay claim to your share of rare memorabilia today by searching eBay with the term "jrworldmx."
