Rockstar Suzuki Amateur Team Report

BREA, CA – When it comes to amateur motocross racing, the Ponca City Grand National Championship and the AMA Loretta Lynn’s Amateur MX National represent the most prestigious of these events. Considering that the Rockstar Suzuki Amateur Team and the 2011 line of Suzuki RM-Zs have dominated this year, it’s no surprise that they closed out the season at both events with a bang. Indeed, the Rockstar Suzuki Amateur Team piloted their Suzuki RM85s, new fuel-injected RM-Z250s and RM-Z450s to a multitude of championships and more than 90 podium finishes between the two events.

Sean Cantrell rode his Suzuki RM85 to championships in the 85 9-11 Modified class at both Ponca City and Loretta Lynn’s. Rockstar Suzuki teammate Jace Owen also shined at both events, taking the 125 2-Stroke Only Non-Pro Title at Ponca City and the Schoolboy 2 Championship at Loretta Lynn’s. Rounding out the Rockstar Suzuki team’s impressive performance overall was Justin Summers, who captured the coveted 450 B Modified Title at Loretta Lynn’s.

“I’m really excited and proud of all our Suzuki riders on how well they performed at both Ponca and Loretta’s,” said Aaron Quesada, Suzuki amateur support specialist. “The tracks were challenging and the weather was hot, but the kids pushed through and never stopped trying!
