FARMINGDALE, NJ – Bel-Ray Company, Inc. –  After their summer break the AMA Motocross and Moto2 series returned to action this past weekend.

The Bel-Ray backed Tech3 Moto2 competed in the Czech Grand Prix and performed to mixed results. Team rider Mike DiMeglio delivered one of his best performances of the season and scored points for his second time this season. Climbing from 24th to 15th on the first lap, DiMeglio was on a charge through the field and was eventually in a battle with several racers for a top 10 finish. At the end of the race, he was able to finish 15th, just seconds away from the top 10. Teammate Bradley Smith suffered his second DNF in a row despite showing promise early in the day’s racing. A crash on the second lap left the popular racer unhurt, but unable to continue. He is still in 7th in the series standings with 7 rounds left to compete.
TwoTwo Motorsports/Bel-Ray racing’s Chad Reed came into the Unadilla round of the AMA National Motocross series looking to improve on his results from the previous round in Washougal. Reed’s 4-5 moto finishes for 4th overall were off the pace of the leaders, but he still holds down 3rd place in the series standings with only 3 rounds left in the series. Bel-Ray’s Elite racers Lowell Spangler and Dakota Kessler showed strong performances on their privateer Hondas. Spangler was 13-18 for 16th overall in the 450 class while Kessler finished 30-32 for 35th overall in the 250 class. The Bel-Ray backed MX Heaven racing team also showed strong results in the 450 class, with Calle Aspegren finishing 16-23 for 22nd overall and Fredrick Noren finishing 20-35 for 25th overall.
