CINGOLI (Italy) – Sunny and very hot Italian town Cingoli crowned three new Junior Motocross World Champions. Joseph Prada Garcia (65cc, ESP, KTM), Pauls Jonass (85cc, LAT, KTM) and Joseph Savatgy (125cc, USA, Suzuki) won their categories and got beautiful gold medals from the hands of Dr. Wolfgang Srb, FIM CMS President.

The event was opened by colorful ceremony that introduced all riders from many countries of the world taking part in this event.

65cc
Round one of 65cc started with the holeshot of Gabriele Oteri (ITA, KTM). He lead for more than two laps and started to make pretty comfortable lead behind the rest of the pace. But he made a mistake on one of the jumps and fallen down. That opened the way to Spanish Jorge Prado Garcia (KTM), who could make comfortable lead as the gap behind him and remaining riders was almost 10 seconds. Tamur Talviku from Estonia (KTM) took the second position but the fight for the last podium post was still open. Finally Italian Riccardo Lauretti (KTM) was the happiest as he could be the fastest one in group of five riders who were changing their positions in almost every turn and battling for the podium.

Second round just confirmed the domination of Jorge Prado Garcia. He took the holeshot and then just kept sufficient gap behind the rest of the World. Second position was occupied by Enzo Lopes (BRA, KTM) and third had been taken after many changes and fights by Hunter Lawrence (AUS, KTM).

85cc
The start first round of 85cc category was set shortly after the noon so the riders got to fight not only with the track and opponents but also with burning sun and temperatures over 30°C. Although it might have seen simple victory for Pauls Jonass (LAT, KTM), he had to resist numerous attacks from Thomas Do (FRA, KTM). American Chase Bell (Kawasaki) showed really good speed as he climbed up to 3rd place from 12th after the start. 

What is great about entire junior motocross here is that the pilots never resign – as long as they could, they fight for any position - even for the last ones.

Second heat started with holeshot of Bas Vaessen (NED, KTM), but he could not resist to the speed of Chase Bell. Chase on his Kawasaki did not let anyone even endanger his position and also could as the only one in 85cc category jump the step-ups. 

As Chase’s position on 1st was pretty stable, the real fights were happening behind him. It was the winner of the first round, Latvian Pauls Jonass (LAT, KTM), who is the happiest boy today. As he made it second in the second round, he won the title of 85cc Monster Energy FIM Junior Motocross World Champion 2011. The third position was taken by Thomas Do (FRA, KTM).

So the final classification is 1st Pauls Jonass (LAT, KTM), 2nd Chase Bell (USA, Kawasaki) and 3rd Thomas Do (FRA, KTM).

125cc
The fastest category of the day offered another bunch of great battles in the first round of 125cc. Tim Gajser (SLO, KTM) took the holeshot, but was soon overtaken by James Dunn (GBR, KTM) and Luca Moroni (ITA, KTM). Moroni could not hold the pace, made a mistake and fallen down. 

The same happened to James Dunn, whose front wheel had slipped in one of the turns and so he let Tim Gajser get back to the lead. Joseph Savatgy (USA, Suzuki) have shown amazing performance as he progressed from 9th place after the start to 2nd in the finish making many great overtakes. The final standing of the first round was 1st Tim Gajser, 2nd Joseph Savatgy and 3rd James Dunn.

Second round has showed another bunch of great battles. Damon Graulus (BEL, KTM) took the holeshot and lead for about lap until he was overtaken by Joseph Sawatgy (USA, Suzuki). At that moment everything looked as it is going to be a piece of cake for Joseph to win the race and also to gain the Title, but there was still more to come. On lap five Jeremy Seewer (SUI, Suzuki) took the lead, looked very confident and also make pretty comfortable gap. Enthusiastic Italian spectators could see many great laps and overtakes from another American on the top, Chris Alldredge (Yamaha). In the fight on the finish straight he finally made in for the third position as there were still three more riders with actually no gap behind him. The winner of 1st round, Slovenian Tim Gajser, had some bad luck in this race as he had fallen down from 2nd position and had to fight back from the very last place. He made it to the 14 so he was 5th in overall.

Second round decided about 125cc Monster Energy FIM Junior Motocross World Champion 2011: Joseph Sawatgy from USA riding on Suzuki. Vice-champion is Jeremy Seewer from Switzerland also on Suzuki and third Chris Alldredge from USA on Yamaha.

The best juniors of the world will fight for another FIM Junior Motocross World Championship titles on 12th August 2012 in Sevlievo, Bulgaria.
