FARMINGDALE, NJ – Bel-Ray Company, Inc. – After their summer break the AMA Motocross and Moto2 series return to action this weekend.
The Moto2 class returns to action this weekend in the Czech Republic. After disappointing finishes in the previous round of the series Tech3 teammates Bradley Smith and Mike DiMeglio are looking for redemption. Prior to his DNF in Germany Bradley Smith was on a roll with 3 consecutive podium results. Dimeglio has been struggling to come to grips with his bike, but has shown signs of improvement each week. The summer break will allow them both to re-group for the final rounds of the series. Smith is currently 5th place, while DiMeglio is in 26th place in the series standings.
Following his dramatic crash in Millville, MN, AMA Motocross star Chad Reed had no break before the Washougal, WA round of the series to recover. His Washougal results were not up to his normal podium caliber but the 3 week break in the racing season came at the right time. Reed is re-charged and ready to take on the final 4 rounds of the series beginning this weekend in Unadilla, NY. Reed has had success at this track in the past, and looks to continue his exceptional 2011 results. Joining the #22 of Reed in competition this weekend are Bel-Ray Elite Support Riders, #96 Lowell Spangler,#446 Frankie Lettieri, #449 Dakota Kessler, #514 Anthony Roth, #731 Steve Roman, #760 Ty Wozney, #865 Calle Aspegren, #867 Fredrik Noren, and #910 Michael Sowa.
