DigitalOffroad.com Ride Day
August 10, 2011, 6:25pm
Off-road racing website DigitalOffroad.com is pleased to announce its first-ever ride day, August 20th, 2011 at Twin Oaks Motocross in Asheboro, North Carolina.
Over the last two years digitaloffroad.com has seen significant growth thanks to you, our readers and fans, and we’d like to do something to give back a little bit. So we’ve arranged a deal with Twin Oaks to have the track groomed and prepped, lined up some sweet prizes from Fly Racing, Scott USA, Kenda, FTI, and RidePG.com and have an awesome day of riding planned, and we also have confirmed that FMF/KTM's Kailub Russell will be in attendance.
A fee of $20 per rider and $5 per spectator will be charged, with $15 of each rider fee going to the Twin Oaks facility and the other $5 per rider and $5 per spectator going to support the RiderDown Foundation—a non-profit organization dedicated to helping responsible off-road motorcyclists who have been injured while riding and racing. Proceeds are used to provide assistance to the riders and their families when faced with medical expenses and related issues.
The Twin Oaks facility houses a 1.3 mile motocross track with jumps big enough for the fast guys to enjoy but easy enough so the low flyers can also enjoy themselves. They also have a Youth track for the little guys and 4.5 miles of trails mixed with varying terrain.
Food and drink will be included with your entry fee as well as a custom event sticker from RidePG.com as well as random door prizes including an autographed Josh Strang jersey. There will also be a 50/50 raffle and various races including an “escargot course” (think snail shaped) with racing against the clock in various classes as well as a pit bike race.
There will be a vendors and pro row set up, with displays by FTI, Fly Racing, and RidePG.com. If you would like to set up as a vendor, please contact Jared Bolton at jbolton@jaredbolton.com
Everyone is invited out for a day of riding and good times all in the name of fun and for the love of the off-road world. What better way to spend a day than riding with your friends and those who support the sport?
