SoCal Vintage MX Classic This Saturday

The 2nd Annual SoCal Vintage MX Classic is this Saturday, June 11th at Barona Oaks MX. We hope you will all join us for a fun and exciting weekend.
In addition to all of the Vintage, Post-Vintage and Modern classes, we have many exciting elements planned for this year's event:
The North/South VMX Challenge: One team from the North (Exp/Int/Nov) will go head to head with one team from the South (Exp/Int/Nov) in a one-moto format. The team with the best combined score (after two rounds) will take home the inaugural North/South perpetual trophy. The second round will be held at the ARX event, Oct. 2nd at Glen Helen. We hope this friendly rivalry will continue for years to come. All team members will receive a special North or South racing bib. Sponsored by Vintage Iron.
"ADOLF WEIL" TRIBUTE (Maicos Only!): We will honor the late great Adolf Weil who passed away a couple weeks ago. This class will be for Maicos Only and will be one moto format and best of all, it's FREE!
Marty Tripes 100cc Works Revenge: If you have not witnessed the 100cc rage, it is surely something to see. This will be one of the most crowded gates of the day. Marty has created something really special here and the fun never stops on these 100cc screaming machines. Get your air-cooled 100cc warrior ready!
Team Race: One of our most popular classes last year was the Team Race. Once again, we will feature this action-packed race. We are anticipating several more teams this year due to the popularity of it last year. Each rider will ride their own bike in a one-moto format.
Camping: There will be camping Friday and Saturday nights. We encourage everyone to come down and enjoy the weekend. Barona Oaks Raceway is a great place to camp and have a great time. Camping $10 per night.
BBQ: Come and enjoy the post-race party & BBQ with Marty "Typhoon" Tripes. This is a community BBQ, so feel free to bring your favorite meats to throw on his grill. Side dishes are welcome!
MX Legends: Many MX legends, including Marty Smith, Tommy Croft, Mike Bell, Ron Lechien, Jim Gibson, Danny LaPorte, Chuck Sun and Bill Silverthorn have been invited to the event. Come and mix it up with some of the fastest riders of the vintage and post-vintage era.
Awards & Prizes: There is will custom award medals for all classes along with some great prizes from our sponsors.
T-Shirts and Sweatshirts: We will also have a limited supply of Event T-Shirts and Sweatshirts available at the race. They SOLD-OUT quickly last year. Better get there early! The Tees are $10 and Hooded Sweatshirts $25. We will also have the Adolf Weil Tribute tees.
PRACTICE: We will have open practice on the actual track on Friday, June 10th from 9:00am to 3:00pm. Come down, camp, and make it a nice long weekend! There will be race day practice as well.
