Resort-Backed Support Program Launches for Michigan Motocross Riders
Riders and their families gathered for formal congratulations and briefing on a program that is 100% Michigan and Motocross focused for 2011. Headed by Osprey Chief Operating Officer Jason Biber, and backed by title sponsor Otsego Club and Resort, the OCMX (as it is referred to) will be providing monetary support for 10 Michigan motocross racers and families, who the OCMX believes will successfully represent and advocate Michigan Motocross for the incredible family-centric lifestyle that it is.
As one of its closest supporters, family-owned and operated Baja Acres Motocross Park was on hand to support the riders and brief them on the benefits of the new program:
“We’re beyond happy to be part of this program”, says Rosanna Grzebinski of Baja Acres. “Jason [Biber] has brought incredible resources to these riders and their families, and you couldn’t get a more appreciative and caring group of people together—they’re a great representation of the motocross community here in Michigan.”
Rosanna continued by complimenting each rider and their family, as well as how attentive and professional they all were in such a corporate setting.
As part of the evening’s agenda, riders and their families received information on program benefits such as a $100 welcome incentive; monetary-credits for every race sign up in Michigan; and a payable-points system that accrued money throughout the race season based on District 14 and Great Lakes Motocross Michigan-based points. Each rider received a VISA debit card, from which all funds will be added at various dates throughout the season. Riders also received exceptional incentives through Osprey Recreational Properties, Baja Acres, local Progressive Insurance Agent Bryan Ede, Dick Genthe Chevrolet, MCR Suspension, Cobra Motorcycles, Legue Graphics, Tech-Care Suspension, and a network of Michigan powersport dealers.
Of the 70+ submissions that were made over the last month, 10 riders were selected to represent the OCMX brand as a Michigan Motocross initiative. Those riders include: Colin Deems, Jace Kessler, Joey Crown, Jacob Williamson, Austin Dodd, Kathleen Kramer, Jim Wazny, Matt Sheafor, and Scotty Thomason, and an enduro/harescramble rider yet to be confirmed.
