BTOSports.com/BBMX/Palmetto Suzuki’s Byrne Goes Big in Big D
Returning from injury is never easy and sometimes progression is measured in the smallest amounts so it’s with that knowledge that the BTOSports.com/BBMX/Palmetto Suzuki supercross team is looking forward to team riders Michael Byrne and Jason Thomas getting healthy and happy in the coming weeks.
Round 12 of the AMA Supercross series took place in the still-new Cowboys Stadium in Dallas and with it came renewed hope that Byrne and Thomas would take their place in the main event and they almost did.
Byrne didn’t get the start that he needed on his Suzuki RMZ450 in the main event but put on a charge to work his way up. The whoops this week were big and they pounded the Aussie’s reconstructed wrist. When the checkered flag flew, it was a fourteenth for the #26 on the night.
Thomas wasn’t able to make the main event this week but put in a spirited ride each and every time he hit the track. JT$ was in prime spot to get through into the main event but went down hard with the help of another rider.
Byrne had this to say after the race “I’ve got to do better and I will. The team and the bike is great but I’ve just got to get up front and get some better starts.”
Thank you to our sponsors and there’s no way we could go racing without their help:
