BTOSports.com/BBMX/Palmetto Suzuki’s Dynamic Duo Rocks Jacksonville

It’s been a year of injuries and one racer doing well while the other one has some bad luck in the AMA Supercross series but in Jacksonville, Florida this past weekend, the BTOSports.com/BBMX/Palmetto Suzuki team had its best race of the year.

Team riders Michael Byrne and Jason Thomas both made the 450 main event and had great riders. Byrne fell early in the race and came from last place all the way to twelfth. The Aussie rider, now residing in Florida, was on fire the entire main event and it was a great sight to see.  Thomas, who is battling a knee injury, made his first main since that injury and finished right behind Byrne in thirteenth.

“It started out as a tough race but I felt like I rode my best race of the year and I’m glad to be able to do it in the home state of mine and my team” said Byrne after the race.

“It’s been tough, I’m not going to lie” said Thomas “I’ve been trying my best and trying to get my leg strong enough to keep going. I’m happy with my result.”

On the series, with six rounds remaining, Byrne is now 19th in the series and Thomas 24th. The team is looking forward to this weekend’s race in Toronto to keep the ball rolling.
