Dodge Motorsports/Hart & Huntington Team Battles to the Finish in Atlanta
Ivan Tedesco and Chris Blose finish 9th and 14th respectively in front of a sold out Atlanta crowd
Carlsbad, CA – It was a challenging weekend for the Dodge Motorsports/Hart & Huntington team as Ivan Tedesco and Chris Blose battled their way through the pack in Round 8 of the AMA/FIM Supercross Championship at the Georgia Dome.
Tedesco and Blose were both placed in a very stacked heat race #2 where Ivan grabbed the holeshot then battled for position with Villopoto, Stewart, and Windham. Both racers qualified for the main event with Tedesco finishing 4th and Blose finishing 8th.
In the main event Ivan received an unlucky gate pick and was in 17th position going into the first turn. Tedesco battled through the field to finish in a hard fought for 9th place overall; he also scored an impressive 6th fastest lap time of the race. Despite an injured ankle, Blose battled his way up to 14th respectively.
“My speed and fitness are both really good. I keep making it hard on myself by not getting the starts I need in the main event. I need to get the starts like I do in my heat races to bring in top results for the team in the main,” said Ivan Tedesco.
“In the main event I had a good start. I raced with Ivan for a little bit, but I twisted my ankle in the rhythm section. It was painful to continue riding with the injury, but I pushed hard for the team finishing 14th,” said Chris Blose.
“Our team continues to work hard each week. Ivan’s hard work showed this weekend, and I believe he rode the best he has all year. Chris continues to make every main event of the season, and is improving each week. This week the team will be staying in Florida working with Ricky Carmichael and Ryan Dungey. We look forward to Daytona next weekend,” said Team Manager, Kenny Watson.
The Dodge Motorsports/Hart and Huntington team heads to Daytona Beach, Florida next weekend for round 9 of Supercross racing.
