X-Brand Goggles Race Report
With the 2011 race season in full swing, X-Brand goggles would like to take the time to provide an update on all of our athletes and teams.
Mike Alessi of the Red Bull KTM team has been competing in the supercross series and has been much improved the last few weeks. Alessi has been running up front and is coming off two consecutive top ten’s. Look for Mike at the front of the pack when the series goes outside.
The Motoconcepts Yamaha team of Kyle Chisholm, Tommy Hahn and Vince Friese have been a consistent force in the main events. Chisholm was well inside the top ten in the points when suffering a bad crash at the Houston SX. Hahn’s year has been injury filled but he definitely has the speed when healthy and Friese is learning the ropes in the 450 class making many of the main events.
Matt Boni of the Ti-Lube Kawasaki team has been right there most of the year with a best finish of 13th in the 450 main event. Boni has been right there in every race to make the main event and once he gets used to his Kawasaki, Matt will be a fixture in the main.
Defending GNCC champion Josh Strang is getting ready for the opening round next week in Florida and the friendly Aussie is going to have clear vision and the support of X-Brand to take him to the front.
Andrews Racing, Factory Husqvarna is also getting ready for the opening round of the GNCC series. Riders Jason Thomas, Morgan Moss and Simo Kirssi will be seeing their way clear with X-Brand goggles.
X-Brand has the WORCS Series covered as well with Bobby Garrison who just ended up on the podium at the last round.
French MX1 rider Steven Frossard just competed in the first of a few warm-up races in France this past weekend and he took his Monster Energy Rinaldi Yamaha to second place overall.
American’s Zach Osborne and Michael Leib will both be contesting the MX2 World Championships over I Europe and will be representing the stars and stripes. Both riders will wear X-Brand goggles with Osborne on the Bike-It Yamaha team and Leib on Ricci Racing Husqvarna.
All of us would like to wish Motoconcepts Yamaha’s Kyle Chisholm a quick recovery from his injuries suffered at the Houston SX.
