  • DC’s Trey Canard Wins His First AMA Supercross Race

Huntington Beach, CA— Congratulations to DC pro motocross rider Trey Canard who won his first Supercross main event this past weekend in Houston, TX at the sixth stop of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross. Trey’s had an impressive rookie 450 season, with two podium finishes already under his belt. In addition to his first place finish in Houston, Trey finished third at the Phoenix SX race last month. Check out DC’s behind the scenes coverage from the race at www.dcshoes.com/moto.

“I’m so excited about the weekend and my first win,” said Trey Canard. “It’s great to be riding with the best guys around. They all push me to be a better rider and I’m really looking forward to the rest of the season.”

Saturday night’s race was a crazy one out on the track when riders began piling up right out of the first turn of the race. Proving that he can keep up with the best riders in the world, Trey held steady throughout the race beating out defending Supercross Champion Ryan Dungey for the winning finish.  After his first place finish this weekend Trey is currently third in the overall point standings. Trey heads to San Diego, CA this coming weekend for the next round of the AMA Supercross Series.

“Trey got the start he was looking for in this race, and with his speed we knew he had a great chance to win,” said Brian Cassaro, DC’s Action Sports Marketing Director. “We are so proud of Trey and look forward to many more Supercross wins from him.”
