Boulder City Motocross Announces $3000 Purse
First Annual Event aims to attract Professional Racers to Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS— Scheduled for March 12 and 13, 2011, the Ford Country Veteran’s Motocross World Cup will now feature three thousand dollars in cash purses for vet motocross racers. The event is to be held at the fast-growing Boulder City Motocross facility which is minutes from Las Vegas, NV. Coming off of momentum from recent successes at the Hart and Huntington Privateer Challenge supercross race, and featuring a new facility and course layout, facility manager Bryce Davis is extremely excited about the event.
“The race is going to be a lot of fun! We’re going to mix things up a little bit with a three moto format, and we’re going to put up a $1500 pro purse for the Over 30 A class and the Over 40 A class. It should make for some great racing and a lot of excitement for both the fans and the riders,” says Davis.
The event will feature two days of racing, with two qualifying motos on Saturday, and the final main events on Sunday. Though the event’s main emphasis will be on Veteran racers, the event will also feature racing classes that cater to younger riders. Davis adds, “Motocross is a family sport and with this event we’re really aiming to create an atmosphere where the whole family can come up and enjoy a weekend in Vegas.”
