  • K&N Becomes Official Air and Oil Filter of the AMA Arenacross Series
AURORA, Ill. – Feld Motor Sports® announced today that K&N Engineering, a leader in aftermarket high-performance filters, has joined the AMA Arenacross Series as the official air and oil filter series sponsor for the 2011 season.

As a longtime supporter of the racing industry, K&N is expanding its consumer base by supporting the AMA Arenacross Series for the first time in its 40-plus year history.

“We’ve stepped up to become the official air and oil filter of the AMA Arenacross Series,” said Nick O’Kane, K&N Powersports manager. “Arenacross provides a great platform and an immense audience for K&N filters in all facets of the marketplace.  This will help us build K&N’s brand awareness at the highest level.”

“We are excited for K&N to join the AMA Arenacross Series for the 2011 season,” said Jayme Dalsing, director of arenacross. “K&N products will be exposed to thousands of dedicated fans throughout the most intimate form of indoor racing around. We look forward to showcasing their highly touted product line throughout the season.”

The foray supporting the AMA Arenacross Series community adds to the list of racing organizations that K&N is a part of from stock cars to drag racing. As a staple supporter of the privateer lifestyle in the sport, K&N’s new initiative is taking their involvement to new heights.

“Every year, we work with a collection of top teams proving our X Stream Series Motocross Filters’ performance and effectiveness in arenacross,” said Johnny Jump, K&N Brand Manager. “Getting to this level with the AMA Arenacross Series, being able to talk face to face with consumers in the pits, and showing our diverse collection of performance filtration products, gives us the opportunity to take this to the next level.  Our consumers ride and that means they have trucks.  The K&N performance intake systems make horsepower, and when you’re hauling bikes or a trailer, that’s exactly what you need.”

Based in Riverside, Calif., K&N began in 1969 developing washable and reusable performance high-flow air filters for off-road motorcycles. Now, still as a family-owned company, it has become a leader in the powersports industry. With its sponsorship of the AMA Arenacross Series for 2011, K&N’s on-site presence will be felt throughout the championship.
