  • Dodge Motorsports/Hart and Huntington Team Prepares for Phoenix

The newly formed Dodge Motorsports/Hart and Huntington team debuted their new look in the AMA Supercross series at Anaheim 1 last weekend. The team will race this weekend at Round 2 in Phoenix and is looking to build on their success from Anaheim.

“We have great new sponsors that have joined the team this year. We are thrilled to have Dodge Motorsports as our title sponsor along with Bel-Ray, Contour HD cameras, and ARMA. We are also excited to have Chris Blose on board again, as well as having Ivan Tedesco and Josh Hill join our team,” said team owner Carey Hart.

Blose qualified 6th in heat 1, and Tedesco pulled the holeshot in heat 2 also qualifying 6th, securing a spot for both riders in the main event. Tedesco captured the holeshot leading the 450 class into the first turn in the main event, and continued his lead for 3 laps. Blose would recover from a 1st lap crash to finish 17th overall while Tedesco battled his way to a solid 7th place.

“Anaheim 1 went pretty well, could have been better, but we will work hard to continue to improve,” said Blose. “We worked on bike adjustments after practice and ended up 6th in my heat. Going into the main event I was pretty excited. I crashed in the 1st turn and bent my bars, but was able to work my way back to 17th. We will continue to fine tune my bike setup, and we will continue to improve each race.”

“The weekend was good for the first race,” said Tedesco.  “There’s a lot of competition, probably the toughest competition in history. It was good to get a good finish with something to build off, and looking to carry the momentum into Phoenix.”

“A1 was a great start to the season for us, and also a bench mark to build on for the rest of the season. I’m really happy with Tedesco’s main event ride, and how solid Blose was in his heat race and main event. It was great having Josh Hill on hand to sign autographs and to be part of the team. This weekend was very exciting for us to unveil our 2011 look and sponsor line up to the awesome Anaheim fans. We are looking forward to Phoenix this coming weekend,” said an enthusiastic Carey Hart.

The Dodge Motorsports/Hart and Huntington team heads to Chase Field this weekend in Phoenix.
