February 25, 2010 2:23pm
Back by popular demand, and coming to you from inside the Georgia Dome is Thor TV! After a short break, the Thor TV crew will be making their East Coast debut in conjunction with the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series’ stop in Atlanta.
Thor MX and Monster Energy Kawasaki rider, Ryan Villopoto sits atop the Supercross class standings and is ready to fight off a surge from the rest of the field this weekend at the Georgia Dome.
This weekend in Atlanta also offers a second glimpse at the East Coast Lites class. Thor MX and Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki rider, Christophe Pourcel opened the season with a win in Indy and is attempting to defend his 2009 title.
Christophe’s teammate, and fellow Thor rider, Dean Wilson finished just outside the top 5 in his pro debut and looks to score his first podium finish of the season in Atlanta. You can check out footage of Dean and many others on the Thor MX Facebook and YouTube page.
As mentioned earlier, Thor TV is back in action this weekend. Confirmed guests for this week include Jeff Stanton (6-time AMA MX & SX Champion), Matt Walker (former Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider), and DMXS radio hosts David Izer and Kevin Kelly. Click on the link to learn more about DMXS radio. Shows will be shot from inside the Georgia Dome pit area, and footage will be available early next week on thormx.com.
Below you can watch never before seen footage from Thor TV. We caught up with Marty Smith at Anaheim II where he shared some insight on the sport and how much it has grown over the years.
You can also check out footage of Thor TV’s interview with John Ayers. John Ayers is the Director of Operations for MX Sports, and he stopped by to offer an inside look at the 2010 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship.
Next week we’ll have a recap from Atlanta SX, and updates on Facebook from Daytona Bike Week leading into the Daytona SX.
