  • Don't Forget: DMXS Radio Tonight at 8
GEICO Powersports Honda’s Kevin Windham reminded everyone that the veteran still has the speed and determination to run up in front with an impressive podium at the season opener. Kdub was even affectionately called an “old man” during the television broadcast, but we know for a fact that he lets kids cut across his yard and never eats dinner before five o’clock. We’ll catch up with our friend as he prepares to back up his results in Phoenix this weekend.

Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Josh Hansen has been one of the most talked about stories in the off-season. There is no doubt that the sometimes misunderstood rider has gobs of talent, but there are those that still feel he didn’t deserve one of the most coveted rides under Mitch Payton’s tent. We have known and supported Josh since his amateur days and documented just about every twist and turn in his eventful career. We will discuss this latest chapter tonight as he looks to finally find his place in the sport.

Rockstar Energy Canidae Suzuki’s Ryan Morais only finished off the podium one time last year in supercross with a solid third overall in the points. It looks like his speed and consistency are back with another trip atop the box at Anaheim. Ryan seems to be working well with his new team and will surely be battling up front throughout the series.

Jason Weigandt had one of the best seats in the house at A1 and called every lap with his cohort Jim Holley on their wildly popular Supercross LIVE! webcast. You can check them out every weekend by going to www.supercrossonline.com/supercrosslive to register. Weege is one of our favorite guests to bench race with and we have plenty to talk about tonight.

Jimmy Button is another one of our favorite guys to bench race with and he can go all night breaking down races and telling some old-school stories. JB will also catch us up tonight on the latest efforts of the Road 2 Recovery Foundation which assists fallen riders and their families. You can see the latest news and auctions at www.road2recovery.com.

MX Sport’s Tim Cotter was on the show last week to announce the Ricky Carmichael Daytona Amateur Supercross Championship but was a few hours early and couldn’t let the cat out of the bag. He is back full-throttle to give us the details on one of the coolest things to come along in our sport in quite some time, including the Ricky Carmichael University. RCU will be the first public riding school ever hosted by the 15-Time AMA National Champion. You can go to www.mxsports.com for more info or to sign up.

DMXS Radio will be having some cool swag giveaways from our sponsors at Racer X, SHIFT, OGIO, Vurb Moto, and more. Join in the chat room for your chance to win throughout the show!
