  • GearWrench Announces 2009 “Go Large” Sweepstakes Winner
BALTIMORE -- GearWrench®, a premier hand tool brand from Danaher Tool Group, today announced it will award a special edition Monster Energy/Cernic’s Kawasaki KX45OF replica race bike (estimated retail value: $9,500) to Ryan Ward of Salem, New Hampshire as part of its “Go Large” promotion.  The bike is a reproduction of the one used by the Monster Energy Cernic’s Kawasaki Race Team.

As a recent high school graduate, Ward needed to assemble a toolbox for his new full-time job as a technician at Sullivan Tire & Auto Service. Among his first professional tool purchases was GearWrench’s 16-Pc. XL Combo Ratcheting Wrench Set.  Ward sent in the “Go Large” rebate form provided by the tool distributor, which allowed him to select a free tool and made him eligible for the sweepstakes.

“I’ve always been a big fan of GearWrench, plus when I started buying my own tools, my tool distributor suggested I consider the brand,” Ward said.  “The XL wrenches caught my eye and it turns out it was a great investment because I use them every day.”

Ryan was randomly selected as the winner of the company’s “Go Large” Sweepstakes, which was promoted in GearWrench newsletters and online from March 1 to July 31, 2009.

The replica bike features: a liquid-cooled, dual-overhead camshaft, four-stroke engine; five-speed transmission; adjustable electronic fuel injection; and, 12.4 inches of front and rear suspension.  Weighing about 247 pounds, the aluminum frame bike is similar to the one that helped the Monster Energy Cernic’s Kawasaki Race Team capture three top ten finishes during the 2009 Monster Energy Supercross Series.

GearWrench, the exclusive hand tool sponsor of the Monster Energy/Cernic’s Kawasaki 2009 supercross racing team, is known for providing professional technicians with tools that improve productivity, increase torque and eliminate excess bulk.  For more information go to www.GearWrench.com.

“The quality of GearWrench is excellent and the tools work great for many applications,” said Ward.  “In fact, everyone in the shop always borrows them from me.”
