  • Renthal Ltd. Announces Mike Mohacsi as Head of R & D

Renthal is pleased to announce the appointment of Mike Mohacsi as its new Head of Research and Development.  This role has been created to take overall responsibility of Research & Development activities as Renthal pushes forward with new products in the Off-Road and Sportbike markets as well as establishing itself in new markets such as the Bicycle market.

Mike brings over 16 years of engineering experience with his last role being department manager for Yamaha Motor Corporation – Accessory R & D, where Mike was responsible for developing, engineering and testing almost 300 products a year for all motorsport applications.  Mike spent 9 years with Yamaha and became the main point of contact for all technical communication and project support with their factory in Japan.  Mike has a Bachelors Degree in Engineering and a Masters Degree in Engineering Management.

Prior to working with Yamaha, Mike held development engineering positions with Toyota Motor Corporation, Answer Products, FMF Racing and Garrett Turbo-charging Systems.  Mike is a family man and will be relocating from California to the Renthal facility in Stockport, England.

"I've been a fan of the Renthal brand and Renthal's cutting-edge products for as long as I can remember” comments Mike.  “I couldn't be more proud to join this team of professionals working hard to maintain Renthal's dominance in our industry. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me and my family and I can't wait to make the most of it."

Tom Wade, President and CEO of Renthal Limited, says “Renthal, as the number one brand in the world in hard parts, recognizes the continuing need to invest in Research and Development to enhance existing product offerings and bring new and innovative products to market that Renthal consumers are familiar with.  Mike, quite simply, is the perfect candidate for Renthal.  His experience at a technical level combined with his management experience and his ongoing passion for riding motorcycles, mountain bikes and BMX provide a unique skill set to drive forward the implementation of an effective R & D strategy.

Renthal is a worldwide leader in manufacturing and design of motorcycle handlebars, chainwheels, grips and accessories for the off-road, street, and ATV markets.  Currently Honda, Kawasaki, KTM, and Suzuki all specify Renthal handlebars as stock for their performance off-road motorcycles.  Renthal’s world class manufacturing and engineering facility is located in Stockport England and having the ability to control the entire manufacturing process from start to finish ensures that the end user is receiving the highest quality product available.  Renthal’s handlebars and chainwheels have won more US and worldwide titles, 142 and 111 respectively, than any of its competitors combined since.  Renthal was incorporated in 1969 in Northern England by two friends and is celebrating 40 years of making quality products for the powersports industry.
