"This was 1996 and my first year at Kawasaki. I had won two titles in the 125s and stepped up to the 250s full-time. Coming into '96 it was time to make something happen and this was a really good year for me. Looking back on my career, the 96 KX250 was my favorite race bike. The suspension, brakes, motor-everything was great. Brian Luiness was my mechanic and I got yelled at a few times for sure...."
