Catching Up With Mason Phillips
July 28, 2009 5:31pm
This past weekend was the first ever CMRC National race for the Quebec track known as St. Thecle and it probably couldn’t have gone any worse for the promoter. Heavy, heavy rains came down and soaked what was shaping up to be a good race. There was so much rain that the CMRC had no choice but to cancel the second motos and run the MX1 moto cut back to half time. The decision was fine with New Zealand’s Mason Phillips as he holeshot and won his first ever MX1 race. Direct Motocross caught up to the friendly (is there any other kind?) Kiwi on Monday to get his thoughts.
