Schaefer Tracks Tunes Up Millville
If you see a slightly different look around the park at this weekends’ Lucas Oil Motocross Championship race at Millville, then give some props to Schaefer Tracks. The boys at Schaefer Tracks, LLC. were selected to do some track and ground maintenance and hope the racers and thousands of fans like the new look and feel of Spring Creek MX Park.
“We were honored to get the call from Spring Creek owner John Martin about working with the great Millville facility,” stated Shane Schaefer, owner of Schaefer Tracks. “The Martin's have a great history of having a top notch facility and it is already considered to be one of the best tracks in the country. To put the Schaefer Tracks name with it, we feel very honored and dedicated to making it the best motocross National it can possibly be.”
Some of the changes include a widening of the track, re-facing jumps and all sides of the jumps and even a little tractor work in the famous whoops and hills that line the Spring Creek venue.
“We had to dodge the famous "Whoop Monster" while entering the sand whoops,” explained Schaefer, “but we were able to accomplish our goal and refine what was already a great section. The Hills at Millville's Spring Creek MX Park are amazing to say the least and for us to be selected to carve into the famous hills that grace the property, we were more than ecstatic.”
Schaefer Tracks was founded in 2002 by owner Shane Schaefer for the purpose of building and maintaining professional motocross tracks anywhere imaginable. Schaefer Tracks has built all types of tracks including Supercross, Motocross and Arenacross tracks and has built tracks worldwide for racing purposes and/or backyard fun.
