Taco Bell to Present Michigan SuperMoto
The course will be a tight asphalt section in the school parking lot with an uphill dirt section that includes a variety of jump combinations. Last year, the Pro Class was a spectacular event with Timm Kiener of Lake Orion, Mich., Andrew Hyder of Canal Winchester, Ohio and Jason Hine of Clarkston, Mich. battling for the lead where Hyder came out as the victor. In the Amateur Main, Ron Meredith was the winner.
On Thursday, July 16 gates open 3 p.m. at Ogemaw Heights High School located at 960 S. M-33 in West Branch, Mich. The three classes are Beginner, Amateur and Pro. Practice begins at 4 p.m. with the racing at 8 p.m. under the lights. Racer entry fee is $75 and spectators are $10.
The Taco Bell SuperMoto Race is part of the three-round Michigan SuperMoto Championship where the Pro Class overall points winner receives a 2009 Honda CRF50F courtesy of College Bike Shop, a Dubach Racing Development (DRD) gift card, and a MISuperMoto 2010 season pass. The Beginner and Amateur Classes, presented by EKS Brand, racers who holeshot their main events receive a pair of EKS Brand goggles. Rounds two and three of the series are held at Auto City Speedway in Clio, Mich. on August 16 and September 27.
