  • Ryan Clark Out for Remainder of 2009 Season
To all of my fans and sponsors,

In the second moto at Red Bud this  weekend, I crashed extremely hard in a sweeping turn section, resulting in a concussion and a broken thumb.  I am awaiting a second opinion on my thumb injury, but it looks as though it will require surgery to repair and thus take me out of competition for the remainder of the 2009 season.  I will follow up with more information as it becomes available.

I would like to personally thank Doc Bodnar, Eddie Casillas and the entire Asterisk Mobile Medical crew for their efforts in helping me and all of the other riders on the AMA Professional Circuit.  They are an essential ingredient in the success of the athletes and the series, and I encourage everyone with the means to support them.  I would like to thank my good friend Dr. Steve Navarro for always being there as a friend and doctor through this somewhat turbulent time in my life.  I would like to thank everyone on the CC Rider/St. Lawrence Radiology Honda team, including Mike Battista, Rich Eggett, Steve and Steven Stultz, Doc Maresca, The Nicoletti's, Antonio Balbi, Max, and the entire CC Rider Gear crew (Kris, Mike and Ed).  Lastly, I would like to thank my family for supporting me in all of my dreams, no matter how far-fetched they may have seemed.

Thank you and all the best.

Ryan Clark
