Deegan Takes First Pro Off Road Win

LOS ANGELES, CA – Freestyle motocross superstar Brian Deegan ran what Lucas Oil Off Road Racing officials referred to as the most popular race of the weekend, an incredible race in the Unlimited Lite class to take the very first win of his professional off road truck racing career.  This weekend, June 27th and 28th, the inaugural Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series held Stops 5 and 6 at the Lake Elsinore Motorsports Complex in Lake Elsinore, CA.

With 20 trucks starting the Saturday main event, Deegan had a brilliant start from the second row and immediately took the lead on the first lap.
Persevering through a yellow-flag brought out by a stalled truck and holding on to the lead after the competition yellow, the clear and apparent hometown hero Deegan brought the Rockstar/Metal Mulisha/Lucas Oil Ford in for the win!

On Sunday, the eight spot inversion had Deegan moving quickly out front battling for the lead and holding onto a solid third.  Post competition yellow, Deegan finished the race under a yellow flag in 13th but still holds onto the third spot overall in championship points.

Teammate and 2008 Pro-Lite Rookie of the Year Todd Cuffaro finished Round 5 in 17th and on Sunday’s Round 6 Cuffaro garnered the team another podium with a second place finish.

In addition to exciting, non-stop truck, buggy and kart racing, the two-day event also featured between racing freestyle motocross jump demos by top competitors from the Metal Mulisha.
