Pirelli Scorpion MX Head to $50,000 Snowshoe GNCC This Weekend

Rome, Ga. – With eight rounds in the books, the Can-Am GNCC Racing Series moves to one of its most prestigious events of the season at the MotorcycleUSA.com Snowshoe GNCC in Snowshoe, W.V. GEICO/JG Racing/Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Paul Whibley leads the way for both Pirelli Tire and the XC1 championship chase.
Whibley has been the most consistent rider in the series so far in 2009, putting the Scorpion MX family of tires atop the podium on three occasions, including the series’ most recent outing at the John Penton GNCC in Midfield, Ohio.
Snowshoe will present a significant challenge for the riders this weekend, with $10,000 on the line for the win. The newly-designed 20-mile layout presents some of the most technically difficult obstacles that competitors will see all season, including mud bogs, massive boulders and a grueling 1,000 foot hill climb. With such treacherous and rugged terrain, the Scorpion MX Extra is the ideal tire for navigating the conditions at the competitive pace needed to run up front. A quality Whibley has shown all season.
