Pastrana Dominates Oregon Trail Rally

Carlsbad, CA – Subaru Rally Team USA’s Travis Pastrana and co-driver Christian Edstrom dominated the Oregon Trail Rally held in Hillsboro, Oregon this past weekend taking home the win and moving the duo into the championship lead.

Pastrana and Edstrom maintained a furious pace throughout the 100 mile race leading them to secure the win with an early lead in the Open Class on Day 2. This weekend’s win marked the third win of four races in the series for the defending champion and Edstrom in their Subaru WRX STi. The hilly terrain along with the dry and dusty road conditions proved to be challenging throughout the race for the drivers, however the sunny weather provided a great weekend for race spectators.

"It was an amazing rally. We have three wins so far this season so we are doing really well,” said an enthusiastic Pastrana who is looking for his fourth straight Rally America Championship win this year.

Round 5 of the 2009 Rally America National Championship takes place in Pennsylvania at Susquehannock Trail Rally in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania, June 5th-6th.
