R2R Monster Energy Golf Classic Raises $55,000
Scottsdale, AZ - The 10th Annual Monster Energy Golf Classic at the Desert Pines Golf Club raised $55,000 to benefit the Road 2 Recovery Foundation, a 501 (c)3 non-profit organization that provides assistance to AMA licensed professional Motocross and Supercross riders who sustain career ending injuries. The event started at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, May 1st, and included a lunch banquet, numerous raffles and on course events, a $10,000 putting contest, Monster party tent with music and an ice luge, an awards dinner, and sponsored prizes for all participants.
Twenty Two teams participated in the scramble style golf tournament. Chuck Franklin, Danny Dobey, Brandon Peckham, and Chris Trevino of the Franklin Law/One Industries Team were the winners, having upset defending champions Steve Astephen, Ryan Sheckler, Chad Reed, and Taylor Massey of Wasserman Media Group by 3 strokes. Each winner received a trophy and a new 50mm Rockwell Time Watch. They were also presented with the coveted traveling trophy. Second place and winner of Rockwell Watches were Jason Kimball, Kevin Froebe, Josh Grant, and Eric Vaden of Team Connexions.

Each year the Road 2 Recovery Foundation acknowledges an outstanding individual who has made great contributions to the foundation. This year's recipient of the Main Jet Award was Todd Jendro of Feld Motor Sports. The Foundation also awarded a Special Recognition to Rich Eggett with Rockwell Time and Dave Prater with Feld Motor Sports for all their support during the SX season.
