  • Bonds Wins Honeylake

Milford, CA- The WORCS series visited Honeylake this past weekend, where Bobby Bonds was able to capture the win and give Valli Motorsports their first win in their first year. The normal rocky terrain was the setting as Bonds strategically moved into the lead on lap 3 and continued to pick off riders, battled with FMF Suzuki’s Nathan Woods and put his Valli Honda on top of the box by the 2 hour mark. Bonds came of the gate around 15th, moved into 7th at the start of lap 2 and eventually into the lead on lap 3 where he would take it to the checkers.

“Damn I needed this! I felt like I had a monkey on my back and I’ve finally ditched that guy at Honeylake (haha). This was a great day for me. My son was born last week and what a wonderful gift to give him and my fiancee’ on Mother’s Day and her birthday. My team worked so hard today. I’ve got that #1 plate and I felt like I was kind of letting the team down, but I was just in a funk as they say, so this feels really good to get the win. I want my team to focus on it and take this motivation to Washington. I now sit 11 points out of first, instead of 1 which I should be. But you know what, this is kind of fire I feed off of and know it’s on. I’m going to do everything possible to get a another Championship for my team and give them what they deserve.” Bobby Bonds
