Fun Center Suzuki Las Vegas Report
This weekends racing took place in Las Vegas for the Dave Coombs Sr. Memorial East West Shootout where Cole Seely held the flag for the Fun Center Suzuki Team. In practice Seely was 13th fastest out of the top twenty in the West Coast Series.
The West lined up for heat one where Seely got off to a great start. He battled for the fourth position until he went over the finish line for the white flag. Going over the finish line he collided with another rider in mid air and was pushed to the side of the track causing him to land on a tuff block and go down hard. He was slow getting up and had to race the LCQ.
In the LCQ they combined the East and West riders that did not transfer out of the heats. Seely again got a great jump off the gate and came into the first turn looking for the lead, however his front wheel was taken out by another rider and he went down in the first turn. He quickly remounted and finished 15th. “I really wanted to make the main event tonight for my team and our sponsors,” stated Seely. “I was just at the wrong place at the wrong time and it was really frustrating as I know my speed was there.”
Fun Center, the team’s title sponsor will be taking Cole Seely and Michael Lapaglia to select Outdoor Nationals. Seely will be on a 09’ Suzuki RMZ 250 and Lapaglia will be racing the 09’ Suzuki RMZ 450. Gregg Lynk team owner/manager will not be involved in this program as they will be on a limited budget.
