Chad Reed Chases James Stewart into the Monster Energy® Supercross Finals Saturday Night at Las Vegas’ Sam Boyd Stadium

AMA Supercross Class Stats from Las Vegas
The first race ever held in Las Vegas was March 17, 1990, and Jeff Matiasevich won on a Kawasaki

This will be the 19th time the gate will drop for an AMA Supercross race in Sam Boyd Stadium

First time winners: Jeff Matiasevich: 1990; Mike LaRocco:1991; Jeff Emig: 1995

Jeremy McGrath won his first-ever AMA Supercross in Las Vegas on a Kawasaki in the Lites class

McGrath has won in Las Vegas seven times in his career, three in the Lites class and four in the AMA Supercross class

From 1993-2002, there were 156 AMA Supercross races, and Jeremy McGrath missed only one of those races, which was in Las Vegas in 1995

From 1996-2002, McGrath made 110 consecutive starts

In 1997, Doug Henry made history when he won the Las Vegas Supercross class race on a Yamaha four-stroke motorcycle, marking the first time a four-stroke motorcycle won an AMA Supercross class race

Either Chad Reed or James Stewart have won the race in Las Vegas since 2005. Reed won in ‘05 and ‘08 and Stewart won in ‘06 and ‘07

Mike LaRocco gave Suzuki its only win here in Las Vegas in 1991

For only the sixth time in AMA Supercross history there will be 17 races

McGrath, Windham, Carmichael, and Stewart all won in both classes at Las Vegas

Stewart became the first rider in Yamaha history to win 11 AMA Supercross class races in a single season

Reed earned his 10th runner-up finish of the season

Davi Millsaps earned his first back-to-back podium finishes of the season

Andrew Short earned his 11th top-five finish of the season

Matt Boni earned the best finish of his career with a seventh

Josh Grant earned his 11th top-10 finish of the season

In 12 Dave Coombs Sr. East/West Shootout races, the Eastern Region has won six races and the Western Region has won seven races

Since the Dave Coombs Sr. East/West Shootout started in 1995, four times has a newly crowned Lites class champion won the main event: Windham: 1997; Carmichael: 1998; Ramsey: 1999; Stewart: 2004

Since 1995, no rider has won the Dave Coombs Sr. East/West Shootout three years in a row, Can Ryan Dungey do it this year?

Dungey won the title by five points after losing it to Jason Lawrence by 3 points in 2008
