U.S. Lawn Mower Racing Association Partners With Anti Monkey Butt Powder for 2009 Season

Glenview, IL – The U.S. Lawn Mower Racing Association (USLMRA) has announced a sponsorship with Anti Monkey Butt Powder and Lawn Monkey Racing for the 2009 STA-BIL National Lawn Mower Racing Series.
Long-used by motorcyclists and motor cycle racers, Anti Monkey Butt Powder is specially formulated to absorb excess sweat and reduce frictional skin irritation. In addition to motorcycling, it’s Calamine-based formula is ideal for butt busting activities such as truck driving, bicycling, horse back riding, extreme sports – and now lawn mower racing. Anti Monkey Butt Powder is available at Ace Hardware, Tractor Supply, Rite Aid Drug and other fine stores.
Anti Monkey Butt Powder has also signed on “The Lawn Monkey,” Al Minaker of Turtle Lake, Wisconsin as Official Spokesman for the Anti Monkey Butt Lawn Mower Racing Team.
“I’ve been racing mowers with the USLMRA for five years and am a founding member of the Wisconsin Lawn Mower Racing Association(WILMRA),” said Minaker, who wears a stuffed monkey on his back and has become a favorite among the many children who attend USLMRA events. “We’re going promote a great product, have fun and kick some grass!”
Anti Monkey Butt Powder and Lawn Monkey Racing will be featured on USLMRA telecasts on Fox Sports Net and the Outdoor Channel this fall and will have a prominent display at the 2nd Annual Performance Mowersports Expo during the 17th annual STA-BIL Nationals Weekend, Sept. 3-5 (Labor Day Weekend) in Delaware, Ohio.
In 2008, Minaker finished second in Factory Experimental (FX) Class points for WILMRA and 9th in national points in the STA-BIL National Lawn Mower Racing Series. He also received the 2008 USLMRA Dubba G Everyman Award, an annual honor in memory of a departed USLMRA racer. He was also voted 2006 WILMRA Most Improved Driver. Minaker races a 1968 Bradford Wildcat, powered by a Cooter-built 28cubic inch Overhead Valve Briggs & Stratton motor, with a top speed of around 60 mph.
USLMRA races feature riding lawn mowers with cutting blades removed at speeds up to 60 mph. There are no cash prizes, as racers compete for trophies, glory and bragging rights. Lawn mowers race in four road course classes: Stock (8 mph), IMOW (20 mph), Prepared (50 mph) and Factory Experimental (60 mph).
