DNA Energy Drink/Shea Racing Supports Big Brothers Big Sisters
HOUSTON – Most motorcyclists remember the day as a kid when they couldn’t wait to ride a dirt bike on the weekend or get their very own mini bike for a birthday present. There are many kids who don’t have the option to enjoy dirt biking. Team DNA Energy Drink/Shea Racing has stepped in to help Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Houston ‘Day to Play in the Dirt’ on Saturday, April 25 at Cornerstone MX Park in Hockley, Texas.
Fifty lucky kids from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Houston and other local related charities will be the guests of Cornerstone MX Park and will receive VIP treatment from local off-road riders and their families. Each little participating kid will receive personal riding lessons and will get to ride off-road motorcycles around a specially-prepared motocross track. In addition, they will be treated to a trackside lunch, a tour of the Honda of Houston transporter and enjoy an afternoon of watching Houston’s local motocross pros air it out on Cornerstone’s main track. Spectator admission is free, and the public is welcome to come out to watch Houston-based riders in action at one of the area’s premier motocross facilities.
Team DNA Energy Drink/Shea Racing will bring out their transporter and race bikes along with team rider Teddy Parks. The AMA Supercross rookie who competed in four Lites Class mains this season, Parks will be on-hand to sign autographs and show the kids a thing-or-two on the track. Team owner Tim Shea—who is no slouch on the bike either—will take to the track as well, while DNA Energy Drink girl Tiffany will hand out cans of DNA Energy and give tours of the race rig.
“We focus so much on racing that it’s nice to have the opportunity to give back to our community,” said Tim Shea. “I feel very fortunate to have the ability to ride and own a racing team. It was easy to commit to the ‘Day to Play in the Dirt’ and help give these kids an unforgettable day.”
