BRAKING Clinches 70th World Championship
Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Christophe Pourcel took home the Toronto SX main event win AND clinched the AMA SX Lites Eastern championship this past weekend at the Roger’s Centre. Pourcel wins his first title in his FIRST full season here in the US. All season long, the French rider has showed the speed and consistency of a championship caliber rider and now he has that title.
Braking also claimed the event win in the premier Supercross class as James Stewart dominated the rough and rutted out course during the main event over series leader Chad Reed who finished second. With this win, Stewart narrowed the points gap to 8 as the Vegas finale approaches.
Braking congratulates Pourcel and Stewart as well as these other team riders:
Austin Stroupe – 2nd SX Lites
Broc Tickle – 3rd SX Lites (first career SX podium)
Josh Hill – 3rd SX (highest 09 season finish to date)
