  • TM/Bel-Ray’s Rodrig Thain in 2nd Place in World Enduro

Farmingdale, NJ - Bel-Ray Company, Inc., congratulates Rodrig Thain of TM/Bel-Ray Racing for his 6th and 3rd place finishes at the Enduro World Championships in Igualada, Spain on March 28th and 29th.  With his podium finish, Thain now sits in 2nd place in the overall World Enduro Championship Rankings.

TM/Bel-Ray rider Rodrig Thain, in the first day of racing, occupied the second position just behind his fellow countryman Johnny Aubert almost until the finish line. But a bad fall towards the end caused him to lose almost a minute in time putting him back in 8th place. Thain remounted his
TM EN 450F and managed to make up some time to finish in 6th position. At the end of the race Rodrig complained of a severe pain in his lower abdomen and was taken to the hospital for tests that, fortunately, came back negative of all internal injuries.

“On Saturday I had terrible pains in my stomach that caused me to slow down,” noted Thain. “Fortunately nothing was wrong, but I still gave up 7 critical points.”

Sunday’s wet weather made for a very demanding course, but Thain got on the gas in Race #2 with even more determination than before. Eager to make up the points that he lost on Saturday, Thain battled the rainy conditions and managed to finish in 3rd place, putting him in 2nd position in the overall World rankings.

“I am very pleased with my performance today and to be able to be 2nd in the points,” stated Thain. “My TM/Bel-Ray Racing EN 450F worked perfectly and the heavy conditions were no match for the strong bike.”

Bel-Ray Company is the leader in manufacturing total performance lubricants for all motorcycle applications.  Bel-Ray is also the official oil and lubricant for TM Racing and is used in every engine and motorcycle that they produce.  For the complete Enduro World Championship standings, please visit http://we.abc-wec.com/cms/wec_download/standings/enduro2.pdf  and for more information on Bel-Ray, please go to www.belray.com.  The next round of the Enduro World Championship will be held on April 18th and 19th in Sardinia, Italy.
