News from Foremost Insurance Jim Neese Racing

Greensboro, North Carolina - The Foremost Insurance Jim Neese Racing Team raced in Baltimore, Maryland this past weekend at the Mariner Arena. Despite posting some of the fastest times in qualifying the team could not translate that into Main Event results.
It looked like Mike McDade might be able to put the team back on the podium in Baltimore with early leads in the Lites class and Arenacross class. However, crashes late in the races would keep him from claiming his spot on the box this time.
While the team was able to win some heat races, the best Main Event finish for the team came on Friday night when team owner and Arenacross veteran, Jim Neese, crossed the line in tenth place. Jim missed the Main Event Saturday when his hole shot magic failed when he needed it in the LCQ and he finished outside the top two slots.
Neese did manage to add another hole shot to his string of four consecutive hole shots to make it five in a row on Friday night. Quite an impressive accomplishment, especially since the bikes are essentially stock Suzuki RMZ250's except for the LeoVince pipes and Crower Cams.
Results for the two day's Main Events were as follows:
Jim Neese finished in 10th place on Friday in Arenacross class and did not make the Main Event on Saturday.
Mike McDade finished in 15th place on Friday in the Arenacross class and 11th place in the Lites class. On Saturday he finished 11th in the Arenacross class and 13th in the Lites class.
Josh Thomas finished 14th in the Lites class on Friday night and 14th on Saturday night in the Lites class.
"We have the speed, we just need to stay on two wheels for the entire race. I had trouble putting together a fast lap in qualifying on Saturday which hurt me in my Heat Race. Both Mike McDade and Josh Thomas demonstrated that they have the speed to win in the qualifying sessions, now we just have to do it in the races. We are looking forward to getting back on the track this weekend in Dayton, Ohio. Our tire sponsor, Kenda, has some promotions scheduled and we will deliver the results on the track," stated Neese.
After four rounds of the 2009 Arenacross Series the team's standings in points are:
Arenacross Class
Jim Neese 13th
Mike McDade 17th
Arenacross Lites East
Mike McDade 7th
Josh Thomas 9th
The next event for the team is January 17, 2009 at the Nutter Center in Dayton, Ohio.
