  • DNA Energy Drink/Shea Racing to Compete in Houston

HOUSTON – Team DNA Energy Drink/Shea Racing will compete in its hometown race during the Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM Championship. Augie Lieber of Loxahatchee,Fla. and Teddy Parks of Princeton, Texas will race the Lites Class on Saturday, January 24 at Reliant Stadium in Houston.

Shea Racing is entering its second year with backing from DNA Energy Drink. It operated a four-rider team in the AMA/XTRM Supermoto Championship in 2008, and also competed in select AMA Toyota Trucks Motocross Championship rounds.

Lieber will run #779 on a Kawasaki KX250F and Parks will run #247 on a Suzuki RM-Z250. Lieber has been competing in the pro class since 2005 and qualified for all seven night programs during the 2008 East Coast Lites rounds of the AMA Supercross Championship, and finished 24th at the Freestone round of the AMA Motocross Championship. Meanwhile, Parks turned pro in June 2008 and qualified for three of six AMA Motocross Championship rounds with a 26th overall at Budds Creek.

“Our goal at Houston is for both Augie and Teddy to qualify for the Lites Main,” said team manager Tim Shea. “We appreciate DNA Energy Drink stepping up again this year to support our team and all our other returning and new sponsors that are making this possible.”

DNA Energy Drink is putting out all the stops for the Houston round with both Shea Racing and the full-time motocross team, DNA Energy Drink/ButlerBrothersMX.com, participating.

The Houston main event starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at Ticketmaster, the Reliant Stadium Box Office, and participating Yamaha dealers. Be sure to stop by the Team DNA Energy Drink/Shea Racing pit to meet the riders and the DNA Energy Drink girls for some freebies. Try a citrus or lemon lime DNA Energy Drink while there.
