Jimmy Albertson Injured

Troy Lee Designs Honda rider, Jimmy Albertson, has had a rough off-season that just got worse. After dealing with a couple broken bones in his foot, Jimmy found out on Monday that he has a broken bone in his hand. And it is the scaphoid (navicular bone) in his right wrist. Dr. Reiman is performing the surgery on Jimmy today and he will be off the bike for six weeks while it heals. Hopefully Albertson can be back on the bike and up to speed in time to compete in the last few rounds of the west coast series.
"I'm really bummed out about all this," says Albertson. Adding, "I was excited about this opportunity and it is really frustrating to have it go this way."
In lieu of Albertson's injury, the TLD Honda crew has recruited Steve Boniface to compete on a 450 during the west coast supercross rounds. Boniface is coming off an impressive summer where he ran at the front of the pack in AMA motocross rounds as well as World Championship GP rounds. Look for the #141 machine in the 450 main event.
