  • Tommy Hofmaster Wins his First AX Main of Year

FiberWise Pasta/ Rock River Powersports/ Fly’s Tommy Hofmaster took an almost wire to wire win at round 14 of the Toyota AMA Arenacross series this past weekend in Youngstown, Ohio.

Aboard a Rock River Powersports Yamaha YZ250F and looking through Utopia goggles, Hofmaster got by early leader Teddy Maier on lap two and checked out during the Arenacross class main. Although dealing with a large amount of lappers towards the end of the race, Hofmaster focused ahead and took his first win of the series.

“It feels great to be back up here,” Hofmaster said of his podium visit. “It’s been a while and I’ve been up front many times this year but just haven’t sealed the deal. I’ve been training with my brother and riding in the snow and at indoor tracks around here to stay active because the winter has been rough, so I feel that I’m in decent shape. We have a few more rounds to go and I’m just trying to move up in the points so I still have some work to do.”

Along with Hofmaster taking the win on Saturday, his teammate Keith Johnson rounded out the podium with a third place finish. Team owner Andy Moore said, “It’s been a tough season financially and I want to thank all the sponsors that have supported us through it all. We could use all the help we can get right now and with Tommy getting us his first win and Keith also getting us on the podium, we couldn’t be more excited for the remainder of the series.”

The team is proudly sponsored by the following fine companies: Fiber Wise Pasta, Rock River Powersports, Fly Racing, Sano Systems, Yamaha, Pro Circuit, Bridgestone, Silkolene, Utopia, VisionMotocross.com, Wiseco, Braking USA, K&N Filters, MC Motopark, Renthal, Hinson, VP Racing Fuels, Regina, UFO, Shoei, ASV, Pro-Wheel, Devol, EVS Sports, Ogio, Kicker, Tamer, Buttpatches.com, DC Auto Wraps, ProperFit.net and MX Culture. The team is owned by Andy Moore of Moore Racing LLC. The teams MySpace is www.MySpace.com/MooreMX . The team is currently and actively pursuing a drink sponsor of any kind.
