Novogar Boots Help Alves Hang on to Second in Pittsburgh
January 26, 2008, Pittsburgh, PA - Playing to a completely sold-out Mellon Arena the IFMA series continued to impress with the highflying acrobatics of the top freestyle riders.

According to Alves, “Pittsburgh was an awesome event. It was the biggest crowd of the season. All of the riders loved it. I tried a trick I have never done before in my final run, it was a back flip nac/nac to heel clicker. It was very tough and I almost pulled it off. Just couldn't get my heels together for the click.”
Thomas ended the round with a 93.1 for a solid second for the event. “As for the judging”, reported Alves ”I feel like I got a little under scored but I don't care it was just awesome to be there. It was a great city with a great crowd and fun to have all my buddies riding with me.”
