  • Scott Goggles Gives a Clear View to the Hot Seat in Pensacola

January 14, 2008, Pensacola Florida - Round 2 of the IFMA FMX series once again saw Thomas Alves in the Hot Seat at the end of night two.  “Friday night was a little rough” according to Alves.  “I got off all of my tricks, but sometimes the judging just goes that way”.  Thomas ended Friday night in second place with a 93.5 after pulling four back-flip variations  (Nac Nac, No Hander, One Footer and Regular).

Saturday night was all Thomas.  I knew that I had to take it up a notch to get the win so I just tried to elevate my height a bit and hold the tricks for as long as I could” Thomas reported.  A score of 94 was the result, which was good enough to hold on to the Hot Seat and the win.

Thomas said the key to the win tonight was the support from Scott Goggles. “I really like the Scott Voltage X goggles with tinted lenses”. “Since the events are inside with a concrete floor, glare is a big problem”.   “You don’t want to be upside down and get flashed by the stadium lighting on the way down”.  “Scott goggles has me hooked up and I couldn’t do it without their help”. “Bob Lowry from Scott Goggles knows how to take care of his riders and Scott has the best products around”.

The IFMA FMX series sponsored by Toyota and Torco Racing Fuels moves to Bridgeport Connecticut for the Jan 18,19 rounds.   To learn more about the series visit: http://freestylemotocrossonline.com
