AMA Supercross Class Stats – Anaheim 2

-First race December 4, 1976,
with Marty Smith winning on a Honda.
-This
race marks the 46th time the gate will drop in Anaheim for the AMA Supercross class.
-Anaheim now ties Pontiac as the venue to host the most AMA Supercross
races.
-Since 2001 Anaheim has hosted
three rounds.

Last Weekend’s AMA Supercross Class Notables -- Phoenix
-James Stewart earned his 25th win in 40 starts.
-It was Monster Energy® Kawasaki's 91st win.
-Chad Reed now has 74 podiums, 3rd on the all time podium list.
-James Stewart tied Mike LaRocco as Kawasaki's rider to win at least one AMA Supercross race in four consecutive seasons.
-Jeff Ward won at least one supercross
main event in eight consecutive seasons on a Kawasaki.
-Kevin Windham
earned his first podium of the 2008 season, finishing in 3rd place.

-In 1989, Jeff Stanton beat Ron Lechien by 57 points.
-During the '80's, all 4 brands never won an AMA Supercross race in the same season.

-On January 26, 1985, the first

PHOENIX (January 12, 2008) – Monster Energy® Kawasaki’s James Stewart, of Haines City, Fla., won his first Monster Energy® AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, race at Chase Field last Saturday before 46,121 fans. Torco Fuels Honda’s Jake Weimer, of Rupert, Idaho, also won his first Western Regional AMA Supercross Lites main event in an amazing 15-lap battle last Saturday night.
