Baja Designs/NiteRider Night Race to Take Place at the Maxxis EnduroCross - $1,500
The promoters of the Maxxis EnduroCross have announced that there will be a special Baja Designs/NiteRider Night Race to be included within this year's Maxxis EnduroCross. Baja Designs, the leading manufacturer of aftermarket Lighting Systems for motorcycles and ATVs, will be providing the lighting systems for the riders. NiteRider, the leading manufacturer of helmet lights will be providing helmet lights for the riders
"We are very excited to introduce this new twist for the Maxxis EnduroCross crowd," explains Eric Peronnard, co-promoter of the event. "Prior to the final race of the evening, the Orleans Arena will go dark and eight of our selected riders will line up behind the start gate to take on the EnduroCross track in the dark with the use of Baja Design head lamps and NiteRider helmet lamps. This should prove to be quite a challenge to the riders and great entertainment for the spectators. A perfect fit for an already action-packed event."
The riders to be selected for the Baja Designs/NiteRider Night Race will be the riders finishing in the 2nd through 8th spots of the evenings LCQ. These seven riders will take on former Baja 1000 Champion, Jimmy Lewis (Baja Designs Wild Card), to make a field of eight. "Baja Designs and NiteRider have kicked in $1,000 and we'll toss in another $500 to make it total $1,500 purse for the Night Race," continued Peronnard. "That should give these guys a little incentive to put on a show for the crowd."
Baja Designs has been developing high-end aftermarket lighting systems and other adventure products for the off road industry for 14 years. Their lighting systems and adventure products have been used to win every motorcycle and ATV class in the Baja 1000 and nearly every 24 hour motorcycle event in North America. NiteRider has been providing helmet lights for bicycle riders and off-roaders for more than 15 years. Their lights are a perfect compliment to a headlight for the technical terrain of EnduroCross.
The Maxxis EnduroCross takes place in Las Vegas, inside the Orleans Arena on November 18 and is the only Indoor Off-Road race of its kind in America. This "Invitation Only" event boasts a $20,000 purse with $10,000 going to first place. The top Off-Road racers in the world are invited to attend... these riders will compete against the top ten finishers from the Qualifier round the day before.
