  • Spy Optic Signs on as Official Eyewear Company of 2006 Rockstar Energy Drink US Open

AURORA, Ill. (October 6, 2006) – The 2006 Rockstar Energy Drink U.S. Open announced today that Spy Optic Inc. signed a three-year agreement as the official eyewear company of the ninth-annual off-road motorcycle race inside Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena October 13-14, featuring the world’s top supercross racers.

As part of the deal, Spy Optic Inc. will have an onsite presence to display their recently launched 2007 line up of sun glasses and goggles. Targeting the action sports and youth lifestyle, Spy Optic Inc., caters to motocross, surfing, skateboarding, snowboarding, skiing and wakeboarding.

“I am excited to be involved as a sponsor for the next three years,” said Bob Ketchum, director of motorsports, Spy Optic Inc. “We are going to use this as a huge opportunity to get our company and products in front of some of the greatest fans in the world.”

This year’s Rockstar Energy Drink U.S. Open features reigning champion and 15-time AMA National champion Ricky Carmichael and reigning Amp’d Mobile World Supercross GP champion James Stewart. Never before have these two world-class racers squared off inside the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
