Nate Adams is one Step Closer to the 2006 FMX Dew Tour Cup
San Jose, California – September 11, 2006 – With his win in San Jose, Nate Adams is one step closer to the 2006 FMX Dew Tour Cup and $75,000.
Nate Adams won his second Dew Tour event of 2006 with his commanding performance at the Toyota Challenge. The X Games Gold Medalist showed why he is one of the sports greatest, landing a bevy of backflip variations and one-handed landers. From backflip nacs and heelclickers to wallrides and Cordova flips, Adams schooled the rest of the field in the art of FMX. The only competitor to even come close to Adam’s 93.5 was fellow WMG athlete Mike Mason who scored a 91.83 and finished in second place.
The win gives Adams an almost insurmountable 350 points in the Championship standings. The only person who even has a chance at catching him is WMG athlete Travis Pastrana, but even then Adams would have to fail to ride in order for Pastrana to overtake Adams in the Championship points standings. This means that Adams is likely to be $75,000 richer in one month when the Dew Tour concludes in Orlando with the Playstation Pro. Look for Nate to go for the win and Championship then.
Nate currently rides for Thor/Parts Unlimited, Toyota, Target, Yamaha Motor Corp., DC Shoes, Verizon, Dragon, OGIO, Maxxis Tires, Alpinestars, EVS, Pro Taper, One Industries, Pro Circuit, Richardson RV, Uni Filter, Works Connection, EK Chains, Nitro Records, Red Barron, Kicker Car Audio, Industrial Ride Shop.
