“Take it to the Limit” Movie Charity Benefit Sponsored by Mission Motorsports

The Orange County Dualies Motorcycle Club is proud to announce that on Wednesday night, August 16, 2006 at 8:00 pm,  they are hosting a viewing of the 1980 Peter Starr motorcycle movie classic “Take it to the Limit”.   This showing will benefit the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation and the Prostate90 Foundation.  This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to view this historic film which was not released on the West Coast.  All proceeds will be donated to the two charities.

The movie will be shown at the Newport Big 6, the largest theater West of the Mississippi River.  With seating for over 1,000 motorcycle enthusiasts and projecting on a huge 80’ screen, the Big 6 is located at the Newport Beach Fashion Island Theater Complex.

The 1980 Dolby Stereo Film received a Gold Award from the Chicago International Film Festival and a Silver Award from the Houston International Film Festival.  It set the modern standard for motorcycle films, with some of the most exciting footage ever shot of some of the world’s fastest riders. This includes Kenny Roberts on his TZ700 dirt tracker, Russ Collins on his twin engine Sorcerer drag bike and Steve Baker, America’s first ever road racing World Champion.  Also, Mike “The Bike” Hailwood takes viewers on an on-board ride around the dangerous Isle of Man road racing circuit at 190 mph!

The movie also features some of the of best desert racing (A.C. Bakken), Trials (Debbie Evans), Speedway (Mike Bast, Scott Autrey) and family enduro fun, filmed in the Southern California desert.
