Ironman Injury Report: A Ton of 250 Riders Set to Return

Crawfordsville, IN IronmanAMA Pro Motocross Championship

Round nine of the 2025 AMA Pro Motocross Championship will take place this Saturday at the Tucker Freight Lines Ironman National in Crawfordsville, Indiana. Check out the list below for a look at who’ll be missing the action due to injury.

450 Class

Jason Anderson – Health Issues | Out

Anderson is dealing with health issues and will miss the rest of the year.

Dylan Ferrandis – Leg | Out In

Ferrandis is dealing with a stress fracture in his leg and hasn’t raced all summer. He’s out for Ironman, but is looking to return to action at Unadilla.

Ferrandis is actually IN for this weekend after testing went well last week.

Grant Harlan – Leg | Out

Harlan sustained a leg injury when he was run over at RedBud. He’s out for the remaining Pro Motocross rounds.

Derek Kelley – Leg | Out

Kelley is out for the season due to a broken fibula sustained at RedBud.

Colt Nichols – Thumb | Out

Nichols sustained a torn UCL in his right thumb, which required surgery. He’s out for the remainder of the season.

Aaron Plessinger – Illness | Out

Plessinger has been dealing with ongoing health concerns that manifested roughly around RedBud. He’d hoped to return to racing at Ironman, but his doctors recommended he not race the remaining rounds of Pro Motocross.

Joey Savatgy – Leg | Out

Savatgy sustained a leg injury at RedBud and hasn’t raced since. He’s out for Ironman too.

Cooper Webb – Knee | Out

Webb twisted his knee at RedBud and required minor surgery. He’s out for the season.

250 Class

Max Anstie – Leg | Out

Anstie broke his leg in Birmingham and hasn’t raced since. He’s back on the bike but won’t be racing Ironman. 

Julien Beaumer – Wrist, Banged Up | In

Beaumer got banged up and jammed his wrist in a big crash at High Point. He tried to keep racing, but ultimately sat out for Spring Creek and Washougal. He’ll return to action this weekend at Ironman.

Daxton Bennick – Concussion, Back | In

Bennick sustained a big concussion in the Philadelphia SX and has been sidelined ever since. He’ll return to racing at Ironman.

Pierce Brown – Back | In

Brown will return to racing at Ironman after fracturing his T5 vertebra in the Tampa SX 250SX East Division opener.

Casey Cochran – Shoulder | Out

Cochran sustained ligament damage and dislocated his shoulder after crashing at Southwick. He’s had surgery and is out for the remainder of Pro Motocross.

Trevor Colip – Femur, Stroke | Out

Colip crashed hard and broke his femur during qualifying at Hangtown. There were further complications at the hospital and Colip suffered multiple strokes. To help him out, visit Road 2 Recovery. 

Cole Davies - Arm, Nose | Out

Davies broke his nose and right arm in Salt Lake City. He’s back on the bike and is expected to return to racing soon, but it won’t be at Ironman.

Evan Ferry – Achilles | Out

Ferry is out for the year after tearing his Achilles at A1.

Chance Hymas - ACL | Out

Hymas is out for the year after tearing his ACL at High Point. 

Ty Masterpool - Hand | Out

Masterpool missed RedBud and Spring Creek after breaking his hand in a tip over while practicing. He’s back on the bike, but it sounds like he will be out for Ironman as well.

Cameron McAdoo – Knee | Out

McAdoo is out for the summer with a torn ACL. 

Kayden Minear – Thumb | Out

Minear recently had surgery to address a torn UCL in his thumb. He won’t race any remaining rounds of Pro Motocross, but he’ll be back for the amateur classes in the SMX Playoffs. 

Michael Mosiman – Ankle | In

Mosiman twisted his ankle during qualifying at Washougal and didn’t race the motos. He’s in for Ironman.

Carson Mumford – Ankle | Out

Mumford has been out with an ankle injury all summer. He’ll miss the remaining rounds of Pro Motocross as well. 

Jett Reynolds – Leg | In

Reynolds will return to racing at Ironman after breaking his leg during supercross.

Stilez Robertson – Wrist | Out

Robertson has been dealing with a bad wrist injury that just won’t go away. He announced recently he’s stepping away from professional racing.

Nick Romano – Shoulder | Out

Romano sustained a shoulder injury at Pala. He might return for the final two nationals. 

Jalek Swoll – Head, Banged Up | In

Swoll crashed hard at Washougal and it appeared as though he hit his head. He eventually tried to rejoin the race but was black flagged out of health concerns. He’s cleared concussion protocol and will return at Ironman.

Gavin Towers – Knee | Out

Towers is out until 2026 due to a torn ACL and lateral meniscus.

Tom Vialle – Knee, Shoulder | In

Vialle crashed at Spring Creek and hurt his knee and shoulder. He sat Washougal out but will return at Ironman.
