  • Jason Anderson Out for Remainder of 2025 SuperMotocross Season
Washougal, WA WashougalAMA Pro Motocross Championship

After a bout with ongoing health issues this year, Kawasaki has announced Jason Anderson will be out for the remainder of the SuperMotocross World Championship. This will end his 2025 season of racing and effectively his tenure with the Monster Energy Kawasaki team, as his contract is up at the end of this season. Anderson joined the Kawasaki team ahead of the 2022 season.

In 2025, Anderson scored three third-place finishes in ten main event starts in Monster Energy AMA Supercross, and a season-best seventh overall twice this summer in the AMA Pro Motocross Championship in six starts.

🚨 Rider Update 🚨
Monster Energy Kawasaki rider Jason Anderson will miss the remainder of the SuperMotocross season to focus on his health. The No. 21 has shown the speed to run at the front, but his health has kept him from delivering the consistent results he expects. Anderson and the team have decided it is best for him to take the appropriate amount of time to focus on getting healthy.

Update: Friday, July 18, 2025 at 4 p.m. East

Anderson posted an update on his personal Instagram account today, confirming both the end of his 2025 season and his time with Kawasaki.

In total, Anderson landed 29 total podiums, including seven 450SX main event wins and two 450 Pro Motocross overall wins, in his time with the Monster Energy Kawasaki team.

According to his post, he seems like he will be back to racing in 2026, although we are unsure where just yet.

"Super bummed on the year. I have been having a hard time on the physical side. Not being able to push after lap 2 every weekend is frustrating. Anytime I want to try and train more I keep getting sick and going backwards with my fitness. Not being able to be the best me right now is super tough physically and mentally but shit will buff and i’ll be all good soon

Also just wanted to say thanks to my team @monsterenergy @racekawasaki for being really cool to me and still giving their best effort even though I couldn’t give them mine.

Right now im going to relax and get my body healthy for more racing in the future. On a positive side im excited to enjoy time with my family who always take a backseat to my career. Hope to be back out there soon!"
